Describing Kinesiology (good luck!)

A bit unclear on what Kinesiology is?
Ever struggled trying to explain it to someone else?

One of the main reasons for this is that every Kinesiology session can be quite different and there are quite a lot of Kinesiology streams focusing on different things. For example, in the video below, Fiona Chin (a Kinesiologist and Naturopath) focuses mainly on using Kinesiology to detect allergies and to assist immunity (though I'm sure she uses it more widely - maybe this was easiest to explain!) My focus tends to be more on the emotional aspects of issues people have.

Key aspects of most Kinesiology sessions would be:

  • Use of muscle testing to detect stress
  • Exploration of emotions and attitudes
  • Balancing stress in the body in relation to a goal or issue

One client who I've seen regularly said to me recently, 'it's so different every time it's like it's a totally different form of treatment!'

There are many reasons people might choose to see a Kinesiologist:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Pain
  • Digestive problems
  • Relationship issues
  • Ongoing illness
  • Feeling stuck or confused
